Helen Louise McQuivey Pace, age 90, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, November 18, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 6, 1933, in Provo, Utah, to Theodore Victor McQuivey and Eliza Louisa Cook.
Helen married Charles Byron Pace on April 8, 1954, prior to his discharge from the military. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. Together they had four children.
Helen was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served for many years in several positions in the Scouting program along with Charles. She enjoyed sitting in her recliner with her favorite cat Griffen while watching TV.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband Charles Byron Pace, sisters Lois Peterson and Karen McQuivey, brother Theodore McQuivey, two grandchildren Chantel Christina Pace, and Dustin Pace.
Helen is survived by her four children, Charles Craig Pace, Kearns; Lora Louise Fox (Roy); Brent M. Pace (Kimberly); Alan Byron Pace (Laurie); 20 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by 3 sisters: Phyllis Salisbury, Gail Nielsen, and Mary Ann Sirks.
The family would like to thank Enhabit Hospice and Timpanogos Hospital for the love and care they showed taking care of Helen.
A viewing will be held Friday, November 22, 2024, at Sundberg Olpin Mortuary from 09:30 am to 11:00 am. Graveside services will be held at 12:00 noon in the Payson City Cemetery, 400 North 800 East Payson, UT 84651.
