Heber J. Anderson (93) of Orem, Utah returned home to be with his eternal companion on October 16, 2014. He was born the son of Nephi Stenel Anderson and Olive Orene Walton Anderson in the little town of Hiawatha, Utah on April 22, 1921. He was raised in Smoot, Star Valley, Wyoming. He married his sweet heart Elma Jane Homes in the Mesa, Arizona Temple on May 15, 1951. They raised their family in the Edgemont area of Provo, Utah. He was employed at Geneva Steel from 32 years. He leaves behind his 7 children, 22 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. Heber was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He served a mission in the Southern States Mission from 1948-1950. He served as an ordinance worker in the Provo Temple with his wife Elma for 3 1/2 years and then on his own for another 3 years. He did family search indexing until a month before his passing doing 253,300 names. He served in many other callings in the LDS Church. Heber was a very hard worker and provided well for his family. He was a very kind and compassionate person to everyone. He loved The Lord Jesus Christ with all his heart. He will be dearly remember and missed by his loving family. A celebration of his life will be held at the Suncrest 2nd Ward Chapel located at 400 W. 100 N. Orem, Utah on Monday, October 20, 2014. Viewing at 10:00 to 10:45 and funeral at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Orem City Cemetery.
