Greg Ferran, 69, of Orem, Utah, passed away peacefully in his home on March 18, 2025. He was born on April 11, 1955, in Provo, Utah, to Gilbert and Eunice Ferran.
Greg loved the outdoors and could always be found gardening, camping or fishing whenever he had the chance. He had faith that could move mountains and loved Jesus with all his heart. More than anything, he cherished time spent with his family and friends-including his AA family.
Greg was raised in a time when respect and kindness were the norm; values he carried throughout his life. He never knew a stranger—he welcomed everyone with a warm smile and was always the first to lend a helping hand. He was a magnet for the less fortunate and troubled souls and never judged anyone. He offered compassion, understanding, and unwavering support throughout his life. If you knew Greg, you knew he only saw the good in everyone and never said no to someone in need.
Greg loved big, and he made sure you knew that he loved you. Of all his accomplishments, being a dad and grandpa made him the happiest and the most proud.
Greg is survived by his 5 children, Jason (Kim) Ferran, Jenny (Rodney) Grass, Shauntae (TJ) Woodward, Misty Zabriskie and Travis Zabriskie. 4 siblings, Roland Ferran, Kitt Dora Slaid, Georgia (Dean) Omer and Adam (Joi) Ferran. 20 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. Multiple cousins, nieces and nephews and all his friends that he called family.
Greg was preceded in death by both of his parents, his daughters Aubrey and Mandy, his grandson Braxton, and his niece, Tina.
Funeral service will be held Saturday March 22, 2025 at 1:00 pm at Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary at 495 South State Street, Orem, Utah. A viewing for family and friends will be held Saturday prior to the service from 11:30-12:30. Burial will take place at Orem Cemetery a later date.
