Grant L Seely 88 of Orem died 26 April 2019 at home of natural causes. He was born September 10, 1930 to Alonzo and Maude Seely of Provo Ut. Grant graduated from Provo High School and served in the Army during the Korean War. He married Nancy Lu Clegg on September 1, 1951 in Camp Roberts, California. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.
He worked at BYU, The Wood House, Geneva Steel, Skyline Industries, and Enterprise Car Rentals. Grant was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He had served in the bishopric, had been Branch President of the Orchard Park Care Facility, and had served as both Ward and Stake clerk among other callings.
Grant had a tremendous love of all BYU sports, especially for Football, basketball, and volleyball in that order. He was also a Utah Jazz fan. He is survived by his children, Steven L and Roxanne Seely of Lehi Ut; Robert B and Sheri Lyn Jensen of Ridgecrest, CA; and Brenda Seely of Orem, Ut: a brother, Richard and Ann Seely of ,Taylorsville, Ut; 12 Grandchildren and 34 Great Grandchildren. Grant was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy, his daughter Diane S Fisher, two sisters, Joann and Joyce, and a grandson, Steven Fisher.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at the Sharon Park Stake Center, 85 East 700 North, Orem. Viewings will be held Wednesday, May 1 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary, 495 South State Street, Orem and from 9:30 to 10:30 at the church, prior to the services.
