Grace Lorraine Daniels Jones, age 96, died Friday, August 19, 2016 in Lehi, Utah.
Grace was born in Salt Lake City, Utah July 18, 1920, a daughter of Alvin Ira and Hilda Kurr Daniels. She married Thomas I Jones on July 28, 1945 in Yuba City, California, and the marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Mrs. Jones received her education in Provo, UT, later joining the Navy Waves during WWII where she was stationed on Mare Island for one year.
After their marriage, Grace and Thomas made their home in Northern California for a few years. She has lived in Provo and Orem since 1949.
Active in the LDS Church, she has been a YWMIA counselor and secretary, Relief Society President, Sunday School secretary, Primary teacher, Cub Scout leader, and Visiting Teacher. She was a Temple Worker for ten years.
Survivors include three sons and two daughters: Nicholas R (Shauna) Jones, Logan; Chris S (Paulina) Jones, American Fork; Kevin R (Kathy) Jones, Tennessee; Janna Tolbert, Athens, Georgia, and Sheri Lynne Jones, Orem.
Graveside Services will be held Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. in the East Lawn Memorial Hills Cemetery, 4800 N 650 E Provo, UT.
