Glen Dale Haggerty 1934-2014

Glen Dale Haggerty, age 79, of Orem, Utah passed away on Sunday, July 13th surrounded by family and friends. He was born in Craig, Colorado, December 31, 1934. He was one of ten children. He later married Velma Ruth Haggerty April 21, 1961. They just celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary. He served in the Army briefly and was honorably discharged. He worked for Washburn Motors as an auto mechanic for 21 years. He was best known for all his jokes. He is survived by his wife Velma, son, Dale and daughter, Vicki (Daniel) Clements both of Provo Utah. Five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Two brothers, Harold Haggerty and Larry (Paula) Haggerty, both of Craig, Colorado. Many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, James M & Annie Jane (Kearns) Haggerty, brothers Charles, Carl, Bill, Clayton, John, Wayne and his only sister, Shirley. His funeral services will be held Friday, July 18, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the Cascade Chapel at Sundberg-Olpin Funeral Home, 495 South State Street, Orem, Utah. A viewing will be held Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and also Friday 9:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will be in the American Fork City Cemetery.
