Gerold David Beutler, 88, of Orem, Utah passed away Saturday, October 9, 2021. He was born August 13, 1933 in Richfield, Utah to Leo David Beutler (Father) and Iola Borg (Mother). He married Carolyn Powell on April 11, 1954 in Las Vegas and were later sealed in the American Fork Temple.
Gerold served in the U.S. Army and the Air National Guard for over 30 plus years. He also was an installer with Mt. Bell and 3 companies that bought out Mt. Bell. He then retired as a supervisor. He was also a member of the J.C. and the Sons of the Utah Pioneers. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he serves as a home teacher and in the High Priest Quorum. He loved hunting, sports and his love was fishing for Mackinaw at Flaming Gorge with his son, Greg. He and Carolyn were snow birds for 22 years before health slowed them down.
Gerold is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, his sons David, Greg (Rachell) and sister Shellie (Loren) Bell all of Orem, Utah. He has 12 grandchildren 20 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren, which he and mom have brought so much joy and happiness to their life.
He was preceded in death by his 3 brothers, Don, Jim and Terry (Huck) Beutler.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 15, 2021 at the Orem 4th Ward Chapel, 50 South 800 East, Orem, Utah. A viewing for family and friends will be held from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in the Orem City Cemetery with Military rites by the American Legion.
