Geraldine Morrey

Geraldine Lavonne Morrey, age 87, of Orem, Utah, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2017.  She was born November 29, 1929, in Susanville, California, to Rudolph Issic Luker and Agnes Deuel Luker.  She married Lewis Thelbert Morrey on July 10, 1953.  He preceded her in death on November 29, 1989.

Geraldine was a true country girl and enjoyed being outdoors tending her garden or camping with her family.  She loved and appreciated music and frequently enjoyed hearing her family sing to her.  She had many talents and always had a project to make or paint.  Geraldine had a great interest in the American Indians and devoted much of her life to learning their history and culture.  She was a compassionate woman who always made her children and grandchildren feel included and loved.

Geraldine is survived by two children, Steven L. Morrey of Magna, Utah, and Coleen Luker of Orem, Utah, 5 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband Lewis, her daughter Linda, her two sisters Hope and June, and her brother Gerald.

A graveside service will be held for family and friends at the Orem City Cemetery on Thursday April 6, 2017, at 1:00 p.m.  We appreciate the support we have received from friends and the respectful care that has been taken by the Sundberg-Olpin Funeral Home.
