Lively, free-spirited, and eager to experience life on his own terms, George Raymond Navarrete, 21, was rescued by the Lord on Tuesday, June 28, 2016, in the home he shared with the love of his life Alexis Robles and their son. Born to Jorge and Cielo Navarrete on April 25, 1995, George’s smile and laughter were contagious since childhood and continued to be his signature as he grew into a man, loving father, and dedicated family member—George’s brothers, close family, and loyal friends could account for that.
As a young boy, George enjoyed being the center of attention and had big dreams of being a fireman, hip-hop dancer, and professional athlete; according to him, he could do it all! He took his homemade dance shows seriously, knew his way around a water hose, and took to football effortlessly. His family believed that a determined and tenacious George would succeed at anything he attempted. From youth to young adulthood, despite an inconsistent upbringing, he kept a positive outlook on life and lived in the moment.
Although the dancing, athlete-fireman never came to be, George kept the dance moves, achieved his high school diploma, spent time in the Fire Academy, and earned his masonry certification. Still, he would gladly admit that his greatest accomplishment in life was when he met Alexis, the woman he loved, and fathered a beautiful baby boy named Joshua. George valued family, relationships, and quality time with the ones he loved, and he was the first to make that known. The Navarrete family also includes his older brother Bernardo, married to Sarah and father of Tony, and younger brothers Frank, Daniel, and Tony Navarrete.
Life was good for George as he confirmed his faith in the Lord, something that was important to him and his family. He had also recently spent time with his extended family in Texas and California, moved into a home with his young family, and established a job in construction. A life cut too short, George was one of the good ones, headstrong with a heart of gold, and will be deeply missed for years to come.
George Raymond Navarrete is survived by Alexis Robles, his son Joshua TJ Navarrete, his mother and father, three brothers, and many loved ones who will remember him for his kind heart, generosity, and great sense of humor.
