Gary Jensen
September 11, 1951 — June 4, 2016
Gary Wayne Jensen, age 64, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 4, 2016 at his home in the Heritage Care Center in American Fork, Utah. Gary was born September 11, 1951 in Provo, Utah to Alvin Jack and Doris Mae Bailey Jensen. The fourth of four children, Gary was greatly loved by all his siblings and parents and provided them lots of laughs and joy with his joking nature.
Gary was an incredible athlete, loving all sports, but was exceptional in baseball. He played in the minor leagues until some health issues caused him to stop. Until the day he died he was an avid fan of all sports, enjoying every game he could watch. He was an incredibly intelligent and kind man, deeply respected by all that knew him.
He was a fantastic construction worker after his athletic years ended, building homes and pre-fab steel buildings.
He had the pleasure of mentoring high school students in his last years at Heritage about the consequences brought about from alcohol abuse.
Gary was preceded in death by his mom and dad, sister, Bonnie Kaye Jensen, and brother, Robert Ray Jensen. He is survived by his dear brother Jack M. Jensen.
