Frank Briscoe

December 11, 1953 — April 26, 2015

Our husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Frank Edward Briscoe, graduated from this life on April 26, 2015 at his home in Orem, UT after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 61. We will miss him. Frank was born on December 11, 1953, to Lewis Samuel Briscoe and Catherine Rose Frustaci, in Denver, Colorado. He attended schools in Denver all throughout his growing up years. He attended Brigham Young University where he graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Geography, and later earned a Master's in Public Administration. He worked for BYU Food Services for 7 years, then later began his career with computer technology, where he remained for 23 years. At the time of his passing, he was employed with Ancestry.com, where he had worked for the past 11 years. Frank served an honorable mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Korea Pusan Mission, from May 1977 to May 1979. He was a life-long active member of the LDS church, and loved the gospel of Jesus Christ. Over the years he served as an Elders' Quorum President, Young Men's President, High Priest Group Leader, Ward Clerk, and he loved his calling as a Home Teacher. At the time of his passing he was serving as a Stake Assistant Financial Clerk. On December 17, 1979, he married Ava Ayala, also of Denver, Colorado, in the Salt Lake City Temple. They were blessed with four beautiful children, 3 sons, Jared Frank, Shaun Lewis, and Adam Edward, and 1 daughter, Heidi Ann. Together they raised their children in Utah County. In addition they have been blessed with 5 grandchildren, with one on the way. Frank loved people and had many friends. He was a very likeable person, and was easy-going and friendly. His many friends have been so kind, loving, generous, and supportive as he endured his challenging health struggles. We know he was so appreciative and grateful for their friendship. Frank loved to joke and laugh. He loved to watch comedies on TV. He enjoyed reading, and he loved to exercise. He thought it was "fun". He loved his family. He loved the gospel, his Father in Heaven, and his Savior Jesus Christ. Frank was preceded in death by both his parents. He is survived by his wife, Ava, of 35 years, of Orem, three sons: Jared (Cara) Briscoe of Springville, UT, Shaun (Alicia) Briscoe of Centreville, VA, Adam Briscoe of Price, UT, and one daughter, Heidi (Paulo) Malit of Provo, UT, and 5 grandchildren: Jayden, Jackson, Alexis, Jace and Luke. He is also survived by three brothers: Kenneth (Judy) Briscoe of Aurora, Colorado, Richard (Carrie) Briscoe of West Point, Utah, and Michael (Marilyn) Briscoe of Lehi, UT. The family wishes to thank the wonderful people at Ancestry.com, with whom Frank worked for the past 11 years, for their untiring efforts in giving love and support to Frank and Ava. They have been true friends, and their generosity has been unsurpassed. Many thanks also to the many neighbors, Ward family, and other close friends and extended family who have given so unselfishly of their love and support.
