Fern Cox

Fern Mary Saunders Cox passed away Nov. 27,2014 at age 93. She was born to Reuben and Pearl Saunders on July 3, 1921, in Ogden. Fern served in the Western States Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Day Saints. She married Soren Franklin Cox Oct. 14, 1948, in the Logan Temple. They raised five children. Fern and Soren served a second mission in Singapore from 1975-1978. Known for her dance business and her devotion to the gospel, Fern served in teaching and leadership in all the auxiliaries of the church. She is survived by her husband, Soren, her children Mary (Bryce) Christensen, Carilee (Kelly) Harper, Ann (Dave) Wakefield, Dale (Rhoda) Cox , Paul (Kathy) Cox , 25 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, grand-daughter Lexi, and great-grandson Samuel. Viewing will be held Monday from 6-8 pm at the Grandview South Stake Center, 1122 Grand Ave., Provo and Tuesday from 9-9:45 am before the funeral at 10 am also at the Grandview South Stake Center. The family would like to give a special Thank-you to Latter Days Assisted Living in Santaquin and Brighton Hospice for their loving care.
