Evelyn Iona Allred Jacobsen, 79, a courageous, brave and loveable woman, left this earthly life February 14, 2017, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. She passed peacefully at her home with her loving husband by her side.
Evelyn was born July 1, 1937, in Roosevelt, Utah, to Harold and Florence Leavon Allred. She attended school in Orem, Utah. Evelyn enjoyed sewing for her kids and grandkids. She enjoyed making blankets for her family and church members. She enjoyed square dancing with her beloved husband. She also enjoyed traveling with her family. Evelyn was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed attending church and working in the temple. Evelyn loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. They were her pride and joy.
Evelyn married LaMar Jacobsen in 1955 in the Logan, Utah, Temple and had six children. Evelyn is survived by her husband LaMar Jacobsen. Her children Shelley (Carlos) Gonzales of Orem, Utah; Terri (Jon) Broderick of Tucson, Arizona; Wesley (Sherrie) Jacobsen Danbury of Texas; Vicki Jacobsen of Orem, Utah; Valerie (Lisa) Lanoue of West Valley City, Utah; Tracey (John) Clark of Spanish Fork, Utah; three sisters; 20 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, two of her sisters, and a grandson.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 18, 2017, at 11a.m. in the Lakeview LDS Stake Center at 450 West 1800 South Orem, Utah. A viewing will be held at the Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary at 495 South State Street Orem, Utah, on Friday February 17, 2017, from 6 to 8 p.m. There will also be a viewing Saturday, prior to the funeral service, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the stake center. Burial will be in the Orem City Cemetery.
