Ethel Bernice Sorensen, 91, passed away peacefully at her home in Orem while holding the hand of her loving husband, Harvey, on September 29, 2014.
Bernice was born October 1, 1922 in Provo, Utah to Clifford and Lucy Waid. She was the youngest of 4 children.
In 1950, Bernice married Harvey Sorensen in Las Vegas. The couple made their home in Orem, Utah and together they built Sorensen Marine and Autobody.
Bernice's main interest was her family. She had six children, nine grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and several great-great grandchildren. She dedicated her life to building a home and making every visitor feel welcome there. Bernice's compassion was an example to all; she never failed to offer help.
Bernice is survived by her husband, Harvey and her four children: Dennis Lea, Sherry Lea, Paul Sorensen, and Roger Sorensen , all of Orem. Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters, and two sons: Steven Lea and Jack Lea, and one great granddaughter Bailey Mckae Jensen.
Graveside services will be held Friday, October 3, 2014, at 11:00 am in the Provo City Cemetery, 610 South State Street in Provo. Friends and family may call Thursday from 6 to 8 pm at the Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary, 495 South State in Orem.
