Eric Dunton Jr.

Eric Michael Dunton Jr., 33, of Provo, passed away Thursday April 18th, 2019. He was born September 5th, 1985 in Beaver, Pennsylvania, to Eric Michael Dunton Sr. and Tammy Rae Nadzam Dunton. He married Jaime Rae Malone on March 31st, 2011 in Provo Utah.

Eric had an immense love for his country. He joined the U.S. Army when he was 17 years old and served as a Combat Engineer from May 2003 to May 2011. Eric was a jack of all trades. His work history included: jousting with the Knights of Mayhem, gold mining, bounty hunting, construction, working as a thorough bred trainer in New York, working on the HMS Bounty as an Engineer and working on the pipeline in Maine. Eric had such a caring heart and would give the shirt off his back for anyone in need. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Eric is survived by his wife Jaime of Provo, Utah and their three furbabies: Bostyn Tea, Salem and Lexington (Boo); his father Eric Dunton Sr. and wife Tracy of Boothbay, Maine; his mother Tammy Dunton of Monaca, Pennsylvania; siblings Brandi (Jeremy) Blackman of Brunswick, Maine; brother Sean Dunton of  Dexter, Maine; sister Alyssa Dunton of Wiscasset, Maine; brother Thomas Dunton of Boothbay, Maine and sister Tiffany Black of Midland, Pennsylvania; mother-in-law Connie Malone of Provo, Utah; sister-in-law Cori Malone of Provo, Utah; brother-in-law Ammon (Kathryn) Malone of Aubrey, Texas and sister-in-law Whitney (Dion) Willcocks of Kingswood, NSW, Australia; 12 nephews and nieces; and his grandmother Betsy Dunton.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 27th, 2019 at 11 a.m. in the Grandview East Stake Center located at 1081 West 1060 North Provo, Utah 84604. A viewing for friends and family will be held Friday evening from 6 to 8 pm at the Sundberg Olpin Mortuary located at 495 South State Street in Orem, and on Saturday just prior to the service from 9:30 to 10:30 am at the Stake Center. Burial will be in the Provo City Cemetery with military rites by the American Legion.
