Emma J. Lyon Moesser, 74, passed away on May 15, 2015, in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born on October 7, 1940 in Firth, Idaho--the third of nine children--to Charles C. Lyon and Hazel M. Peterson. She grew up in Basalt, Idaho, then lived in Salt Lake City after high school, where she worked at the LDS Genealogical library, and later met her future husband: Dex William Moesser. Dex and Emma were married in the Salt Lake Temple, in Salt Lake City, Utah, on March 10, 1960. They spent their first four years in Ogden and Salt Lake City, then built their home in Provo where they raised their four children. Emma focused her life on being a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She also loved to garden, create beautiful clothes and doll clothes, and cook delicious made-from-scratch meals that her family raved about. She enjoyed designing doll clothes and ran a business, Emmalines, for many years. She was known as a hard worker, a good friend, a loving primary teacher, and the maker of a peaceful home. Her family was ever aware of her devotion and love, and her tremendous influence will continue through all future generations. Emma is survived by her husband, Dex; three children: Michelle, Teresa, and Bruce Moesser; eight grandchildren: Sherise, Whitney, and Thomas Pfister, and Jenica, Jocelyn, and Katelyn Stimpson, and Jonah and Evan Moesser; 7 siblings, and numerous beloved relatives on both sides of the family. She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Mark. Graveside service and interment will be at the Orem Cemetery. The closed-casket viewing will be held at 10am, and the funeral will be held at 11am on Tuesday, May 19th at the LDS church house on 1122 Grand Avenue, Provo, Utah.
