Ellen Marlene Goodman Larson

Ellen Marlene (Goodman) Larson, age 72, of Orem, Utah, passed away on Saturday, March 15th, 2025, in Provo, Utah. She was born October 10th, 1952, in Provo, Utah to Beverely Joy Olsen and Shirley Dale Goodman. She married John Owen Larson on July 25th, 1980, in the Provo LDS Temple.

Marlene served as an LDS Missionary in the California, Anaheim Mission. She attended Brigham Young University and studied Elementary Education. She loved the beach and listening to Elvis. She was also a lifelong BYU Football fan. The best times of her life were with her children. She had an unwavering commitment to helping her children fulfill their goals and desires. She loved working with her hands. She enjoyed crafting, crocheting, sewing, cooking, and playing games with her family. She had many dogs and other animals across the course of her life. Marlene is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and loved serving in the Primary.

Marlene is survived by six of her children: Everett (Amanda) Larson of Saratoga Springs, Utah; Tara (Fernando) Ramos of Provo, Utah; Michael (Genni) Larson of Santaquin, Utah; Hillary Larson of Orem, Utah; Jennifer (Mario) Ramos of Orem, Utah; Sara Larson of Orem, Utah; 26 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her four siblings: John Goodman, Karen Townsend, Wendy Goodman, and Reed Goodman. She was preceded in death by both of her parents as well as her in-laws, Everett G. Larson and Eleanor Rawson Larson.

A viewing for family and friends will be held on Friday, March 21, 2025, from 12-1:00 pm with a small service at 1:00 pm at Wheeler-Sundberg Funeral Home, 495 South State Street, Orem. Interment will be in the Provo City Cemetery, 610 South State Street, Provo, Utah.
