Eldon Ray Zeller, age 79, of Orem, Utah, passed away at home Monday, January 29, 2018, surrounded by his family. He was born March 2, 1938, in Lovell, Wyoming, to Ludean & William Zeller. He was married to Nina Lee Boren on November 21, 1958, in the LDS Salt Lake temple.
Eldon graduated from BYU and has been a life-long fan ever since. He started his career with the Internal Revenue Service and later retired in real estate. He enjoyed in his younger years—acting in school plays and community theater. He enjoyed rabbit hunting and all things Wyoming. He never met a Louis L'amour book that he didn't love. He loved to garden, collect rocks and enjoy his waterfall. He was an excellent husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather and loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a home teacher, teacher, high councilman, ward greeter, executive secretary, and served as a full-time missionary with his wife in Demopolis, Alabama.
He is survived by his wife Nina Lee Boren Zeller; his children Deberah Moulton's husband Brent (Gayle) Moulton; Sondra (Mike) Donivan of Lake Point, Utah; Daunell (Kevin) Butt of Tucson, Arizona; Shelly (Bret) Boyd of Blackfoot, Idaho; Deanna (Troy) Jepperson of Spanish Fork, Utah; Scott (Melissa) Zeller of Henderson, Nevada; Darrin Zeller (taking applications) of Pleasant Grove, Utah; Stephaine (Erik) Pyne of Fort Drum, New York; Dustin (Jennifer) Zeller of Lindon, Utah. Also 31 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by his three brothers, Clearance, Ervan, & Don and his oldest daughter Deberah Moulton.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 3, 2018, at 1 p.m. in the Lakeview 5th Ward Chapel located at 400 West 1800 South, Orem, Utah. Viewings for friends and family will be held on Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at The Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary located at 495 South State St. in Orem and on Saturday at the church from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. just prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in the Eastlawn Memorial Hills Cemetery in Provo.
