Earl Mcintire Ii

Earl Henry “Hank” McIntire, II, passed away peacefully November 14, 2016, from the long-term effects of a stroke. He was born June 10, 1943, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Earl Henry and Sarah Elizabeth Hunt McIntire.

Hank is survived by his wife Beverley, his children Hank (Lori), Tanise (Kaiwi) Chung-Hoon, Tara (Russell) Fryer, Tracie (Jared) Fillerup, Tana (Nathan) Hallows, Michael (Joanna), Aaron (Candice), Matt (Beth), and Talley (May); 59 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary Beth Thrasher.

He earned the rank of Eagle Scout at age 13 as a member of Troop 91 in Indianapolis and was a lifetime Scouter. He attended Thomas Carr Howe High School (Indianapolis) and Fullerton Union High School (Fullerton, California), graduating in 1961. That same year he joined the California National Guard and served for six years, achieving the rank of Specialist (E-5).

In 1962 he married Anna Maria Rodriguez and they had eight children. In 1968 Hank and Anna joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and were sealed in the Los Angeles Temple the following year. They later divorced and Hank married Beverley Denney in 1987. They had one child together and between the two of them had 17 children. Beverley’s children include Lisa (John) Anderson, Paula (Jake) Ames, Jason Denney, Anne (Nate) Young, John (Serenity) Denney, Christian (Jamie) Denney, Brad (Erica) Denney, Tanner Denney.

Hank graduated from Brigham Young University in 1973 with a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Design. He was a gifted artist and designer and carpentry was his lifelong profession. He was a contractor and construction superintendent for much of his professional career. He loved BYU sports, particularly football and basketball.

Funeral services will held Saturday, November 19, 2016, at 11 a.m. at the Sharon Park 4th Ward, 85 E. 700 N., Orem. A viewing will take place from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. immediately prior to the funeral. Special thanks to the Alpine Valley Care Center in Pleasant Grove for the care provided to him for the last two years, as well as the many friends, family, and ward members who kindly provided love and support to Hank and Beverley in their time of need.
