Dorene Anderson

Dorene Chipman Anderson, 85, of Orem, Utah, returned to the safety of her heavenly home on Tuesday, October 19, 2021. She was born September 14, 1936, in Lethbridge Alberta, Canada to Alfred Leslie and Lillian Wilde Chipman. She married Lyman Peter Anderson on July 20, 1957, in the Cardston, Alberta Temple.

Dorene was raised on a farm in southern Alberta in a large loving family. She learned how to work hard, but more importantly how to love and share the joy of life. Life took her and her sweetheart to Phoenix Arizona where they raised their own large family and lived for 55 years. For the sunset of life, they moved to Orem, Utah. Her gift of baking wonderful things earned her wide spread fame. Dorene is the ultimate example of a loving servant of her Heavenly Father, giving to all who knew her. She was a friend to all and her greatest treasures are her family, friends and neighbors. She never cared too much about acquiring "things". Her smile and cheery disposition were her signature traits. She loved working with children which she devoted her life to, through her family, employment and church service. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Dorene is survived by her husband Lyman Anderson and seven children: LeeAnn (Thomas) Tremblay of Chatham New York; Lori (Darrel) Garner of Raymond, Alberta; Donna (Daniel) Bingham of Orem, Utah; Mark (Lisa) Anderson of Portland, Oregon; Lyman (Valerie) Anderson of Mesa, Arizona; Jason (Heidi) Anderson of Kaysville, Utah; Jana Seitz of Mesa, Arizona; twenty-four grandchildren and twenty-six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Jessie Penrod, Lela Bullock and Alice Chipman.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at 11:00 am at the Sundberg Olpin Mortuary located at 495 South State Street, Orem, Utah. A viewing for friends and family will be held that same day from 9:30 am-10:30 am at the same location. Burial will follow the service in the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery at 3401 South Highland Drive, Millcreek, Utah.
