Donald William Willmore, 88, of Orem, Utah, passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2017. He was born on October 13, 1928, in Preston, Idaho, to Ernest Alfred Wilmore and Thelma Taylor. He married Lettie Marie Harper on February 16, 1955, in the Idaho Falls Temple.
Don served in the U.S. Navy. He loved to fish but mostly he loved his family. He was an excellent father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Nothing gave him greater happiness than his family. He was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in many bishoprics, was a high counselor, and served as bishop of his ward in California. He loved to serve in the temple, which he did for 22 years until his health failed him.
Don is survived by his wife Lettie; his seven children Ron (Karmelle), Reed, Ryan (Cyndi), Rhett (Ann), Regan (Trish), Rachel, Ruth; 30 grandchildren; and 48 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his three brothers Eugene Willmore, LeGrande Willmore, and Merlyn Bennett and two grandchildren Luke Bateman and Jared Willmore.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 28, 2017, at 11 a.m. in the LDS Timpview 5th Ward Chapel located at 865 West 1000 North in Orem, Utah. A viewing will be held just prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Orem City Cemetery following the service.
