Dolores Louise Beard Hall Brown passed away at Jordan Valley Medical Center on June 2, 2015, due to natural causes. She was 85. She was born September 10, 1929 in St. Louis, MO to Ferdinand Joseph and Grace Elidie (Morris) Beard. She lived in St. Louis and Webster Groves, MO, until she graduated from high school in 1947. She then went to Compton, CA to be with her sister, Colleen, and Colleen's husband, Red Reese. She eventually went to work for Brown Realty in Compton. It was there that she met her future husband, Jay C. Hall. Jay and Dolores were married on June 18, 1950 in Las Vegas, NV. They spent their first year or so in Lynwood, CA where their first child was born, a son, Randall J. Hall, in 1951. They moved to Burbank and had two more children, a son named Gordon Michael Hall (stillborn in 1953) and a daughter named Linda Hall, born in 1954. In 1957 they moved to Canoga Park, CA. They both worked hard for their little family and home. In 1960, a daughter, Gayla Hall was born in Encino, CA. Jay C. Hall got lung cancer in 1977 and died December 24, 1977. He was 58 (born October 16, 1919). Dolores and Jay had been married 27 years. After her husband's death, Dolores moved to Pleasant Grove, UT to be near her son, Randy. She was baptized into the LDS Church in January of 1982 by her son, Randy. In June of 1983, the family was sealed in the Jordan River Temple, in South Jordan, UT. In 1983, she met Harry Brown. They were married August 18, 1984, in Orem, UT. They bought a home in Orem and lived there for 29 years. Harry Brown passed away on February 2, 2014. In June of 2014, Dolores moved to Legacy Retirement in South Jordan. Dolores is survived by 3 children, Randy (Carol) Hall, Linda (Geoff) Arnold and Gayla (Eric) Moore, 13 grandchildren , 12 great-grandchildren, and 18 nieces and nephews. She will be missed by her family and dear friends from the Windsor 2nd Ward in Orem, UT, in addition to her friends from Legacy Retirement in South Jordan, UT. Many thanks to the staff at Jordan Valley Medical Center in West Jordan for their care and patience with Dolores. A viewing will be held in her honor at Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary 495 S. State Street in Orem, UT, on Monday, June 8, from 6-8 pm. She will be buried next to her husband, Jay C. Hall, at Rose Hills in Whittier, CA, on Saturday, June 13 at 11am.
