Dixie Shupe

Dixie Cottle Shupe peacefully returned to her Heavenly Father on October 11, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. She was born to Joseph Archie and Mildred Andrew Cottle in Trenton Utah. She grew up in Trenton and Ogden, graduating from Ben Lomond High School. Her career was spent working for the LDS church as an Administrative Assistant where she helped facilitate donations. She enjoyed working with and among the General Authorities. She married Benne Williams in February of 1956. Together they had 4 children. They were later divorced. In December of 1981 she married James Roy Shupe, he preceded her in death in May 2002. Dixie was a talented pianist and organist and loved playing for special events and at her ward. She served in many capacities in the church including Relief Society President and served an LDS Family Search Mission. She had a strong testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and love for her children and grand children. She is survived by her four children Ric (Cathy) Williams, Cindy (Mike) Pullman, Lani (Scott) Hall, Hal (Tammy) Williams, 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren with one on the way. She is survived by her brothers Joseph (Pam) and Lynn (Sheryl) Cottle including very close friends (considered family), Gary (Pam) Thacker and family. A gathering for family and friends will be held Friday, October 16 from 10:00am to 11:45am with Funeral Services from Noon to 1:00pm at the Park 2nd Ward Chapel, 1150 West 400 South, in Orem. Interment will take place in the Ben Lomond North Ogden Cemetery.
