Dixie Lila Warthen Quigley Newell age 86 of Washington, Utah Passed away peacefully on Friday, September 6, 2024. She was born on November 3, 1937, in Park City, Utah to William Paul Warthen and Zola Mary Taylor. She grew up in Benjamin, Utah. She later met and married Joseph Quigley on April 20, 1959. He brought 2 sons from a previous marriage Terry and Lynn (Trudy). Together they had 9 more children Robyn, Kevin, Tamara (Jack) Fisher, Ryan, Stacey (Richard) Eyre, Kelli (Mike) Cutler, Brandon (Emily)Quigley, Tara (Clint) Strain, and Tiffanie (Brandon) Beals. Later in life, she married Ronald Newell on July 27, 1996. She was preceded in death by her sisters Carma and LaJuana, brother Ronald Mac Warthen, her husband Ronald Newell and her children Kevin, Stacey, Ryan and Tamara, and stepson Lynn.
Dixie had a passion for sewing, cross-stitching, and making quilts and baby blankets, sharing her beautiful creations with friends and family. She took great pride in crafting items with love, creating lasting keepsakes that will be cherished for years to come. Known for her creativity, warmth, and devotion to her family, she touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her sisters Patsy Harmon and Gayle Heninger, her children (stepson)Terry, Robyn, Kelli, Brandon, Tara, and Tiffanie along with 26 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
A viewing for family and friends will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024, from 1-2:30 PM at Sundberg Olpin Mortuary 495 South State Street Orem Ut, 84058. The Graveside service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the Orem City Cemetery 1520 N 800 E
