Deon Carter

Deon Darlene Asay Carter our beloved sweet mother, grandmother and sister passed away peacefully September 23, 2016 at Timpanogos Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loved ones. Dee was born June 5, 1948 to Royal and Pauline Asay, the first daughter second child in Phoenix Arizona. In 1973 she moved to the Provo/Orem Utah area settling in Orem in 1984. She is survived by her younger sister Pam (Roger) Strong of Orem Utah, her children Melody (Russell) Long of Evanston Wyoming, Michael (Jennifer) Hogencamp of Lehi Utah, Jeff Carter of Salt Lake City Utah, and Dusty (Chelly) of Orem Utah. 17 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren and numerous extended family. She was met with her heavenly wings on by her father, mother and older brother Rand.
A viewing for Dee will be September 27, 2016 Tuesday evening from 6 pm to 8 pm at Sundberg Olpin Funeral Home 495 South State Street Orem Utah and 9:30 am to 10:30 am September 28, 2016 Wednesday morning with funeral following at 11 am at the LDS church on the corner of 400 North and 400 East in Orem. Interment will be at Orem Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and care givers at Timpanogos Regional Medical Center for the outstanding care they showed our mom and the compassion to the family at the time of this loss.
