DeLain Glaid Giles passed away Monday, January 25, 2021 due to COPD, COVID 19 and Pneumonia.
He was born May 22, 1953 to Redgional “Rex” Glaid Giles and Lois Patricia “Pat” Giles at US Army Hospital in Herlong, CA. He grew up in Provo, Utah was a member of the FH and the Boy Scouts and he graduated from Provo High School in 1971.
He married Vicki Branin on June 9, 1972. DeLain drove interstate trucks to support his family, he also owned II West Paving. He enjoyed hunting, camping, and farm work on his grandfather’s farm. He was a wonderful husband to Vicki. A great father to his 5 children, 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
He enjoyed taking his family to Disneyland over the years to help create memories for them all.
DeLain is survived by his wife Vicki of Orem, his 5 children, Christopher Giles (Denise) of Orem, Heather Giles of Orem, Andrea Romero (Marcelino) of Orem, Jeffrey Giles (Christina) of Orem, and Ashley Berrelleza (Daniel) of Payson. His father Redgional “Rex” Giles of Provo, his 7 siblings; Rex Giles (Paula) of Provo, Glaid Giles (Joy) of Mesquite, NV, Rexine Orton (Rodger) of St. George, Maverick Giles (Vicki) of Payson, Clint Giles of Salina, Crystal Pyne (Mike) of Milford and Tricia Nielsen (Andrew) of American Fork.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Giles.
Funeral Services will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, February 6, 2021 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 400 North 400 East, Orem, Utah. Viewings will be held for friends and family from 6-8 p.m. Friday, February 5, 2021 at Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary, 495 South State Street, Orem, Utah and from 11-11:45 a.m. Saturday, prior to the services at the church.
