Darrell Perkins

Darrell Wallace Perkins, 84, died peacefully in his home on December 9, 2019. Born in Castle Gate Utah on October 7, 1935 to Wallace and Elva Perkins. Darrell grew up in Orem, Utah. Preceded in death by both parents, wife Barbara and son Steven.

Darrell married Barbara Carter on June 11, 1956 and they were later sealed in the Manti Utah Temple. Parents to Steven Perkins, Linda Christofferson (Scot), Michelle Perkins and Annette Perkins. Grandchildren, Jason, Tyler, Colby, Cryshelle, Shannon and Meridian. They also have 11 great grandchildren.

Darrell served active duty in the Army from 1955 - 1957. He loved the Lord and his family. He was a devoted husband and father. He loved to learn and read and owned hundreds of books. As an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he passionately studied the Gospel. A quiet man of few words, his example of hard work, discipline, patience and gentle kindness spoke volumes to all who knew him.

The love family and friends had for him is a testament to who he was and how he lived his life. He will be deeply missed. Reunited with his beloved wife, family and friends, free from the frailties of this life to fully enjoy the blessings and rewards of the next life.

Funeral services will be held at the Jordan 6th ward chapel at 3650 w 4400 s West Valley City, Utah on Saturday December 14th at 10:00 am. A viewing will be held on Friday December 13th from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at the same location and Saturday morning from 9:00 - 9:45 am.

The family wishes to thank Lighten Home Health and Hospice as well as attentive friends and ward members. A special thanks to his Priesthood Quorum who tenderly ministered to and loved him.
