Damon passed away peacefully on the 1st day of the new year, 2017. He was born in Payson, Utah, to Drex and Shari Dixon. Damon was the best son, brother, uncle and friend that anyone could ask for. He was a master at artistic expression, involving art and exceptional musical ability with any instrument he could get his hands on, with guitar being his favorite. His love for music was unmatched and he was extremely talented. He was an avid videographer and skateboard enthusiast from an early age, all through adulthood. He was extremely intelligent, a deep thinker who was able to quickly master anything he put his mind to. When he discovered a passion, he would work relentlessly until he could perfect it. He had a way to make anyone, who was around him, feel accepted and could always find a way to connect or relate. He has inspired and will continue to inspire all of those who had the pleasure of knowing him in his short 24 years of life.
He is survived by his parents, Drex Clayne Dixon and Shari Dopp Dixon, sisters Talese Beth Dixon Ercanbrack, Rochelle Laree Dixon, Alyssa Brianne Dixon, grandparents Dean and Brenda Dopp, nephews Taygen Wilson, Sawyer Ercanbrack, Guillermo Cruz, and Ryder Ercanbrack.
A ceremonial service will be held at the Clarion Gardens Event Center, 463 E 100 N, Payson, UT on Saturday, January 7th, 2017 at 3:00pm, where there will be an opportunity for family and friends to speak and share their favorite memories of Damon. We will then be holding a lantern release and spreading some of Damon’s ashes at the Payson skate park at 5-5:30 p.m., 98 E 600 S Payson, Utah.
