Craig Wallace Wayman was born in Rexburg, Idaho on November 10, 1921, the oldest child of Wallace Robinson Wayman and Mary Francis Wayman. Three days after his birth, his father was called on a mission to Germany for 30 months. Craig grew up in Idaho, Price and Provo, Utah and graduated from the University of Colorado in 1943 with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He was a lieutenant in the Navy during World War II and served on the USS Spangler. On Christmas Eve, 1948, Craig arrived in Saudi Arabia to begin his career with the Arabian American Oil Company. There he met his wife, Meg Burr, who was an industrial nurse from New Jersey. Craig and Meg spent 16 years in Saudi Arabia traveling the world and enjoying many friendships. They have 3 children, Reid (Marla), Peggy (Robin), and Tracy (Cyril). In 1964 Craig and Meg moved to Payson, Utah where Craig and his brother Reid had previously purchased and planted 80+ acres of fruit trees. The brothers ran a successful fruit farming operation on West Mountain until it was sold in 1982. Meg passed away in 1978. Craig then met and married Juanita Abegg Meyers who passed away in 2012. He is survived by his step-children, Lynne (Jim), Toni (Burke), Mark (deceased), and Karen (Gordon).
