Colleen Pay

Colleen Horrocks Pay, 86, of Orem, passed away Monday, October 11, 2021. She was born October 2, 1935, in Santaquin Utah “to the best parents ever” James Darrell and Melva Wall Horrocks. She married Clair Paul Pay in Santaquin and was later sealed in the Manti Temple. They have been married for 68 years.

She was an artist: enjoying oil painting, ceramics, and cake decoration. Christmas was her thing; she had the talent/love of making every Christmas a “winter wonderland” of joy for those around her. She was the school lunch coordinator for the Alpine district for 25 years. Colleen was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Her greatest joy was her family; she loved them dearly and she was dearly loved by all. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served as a visiting/ministering teacher, as well as in different serving positions when called to serve.

Colleen is survived by her husband Clair P. Pay of Orem, Utah; her three children: Richard C Pay of Lehi, UT; Pauleen Tucker-Tippetts of Orem, UT; Daralyn Anderson of American Fork, UT; 18 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings: Arla Smith, Dorolou Clayson, James (Jimmy) Horrocks, and Yvona Sutherland.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 15th, 2021, at 11 a.m. at the LDS Chapel: 810 East 600 North, Orem, Utah (Stake Center).  A viewing for friends and family will be held Thursday evening October 14th, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary, 495 South State Street Orem.   Also, on Friday, October 15th, at the LDS Chapel before the service from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. The burial will take place at Santaquin Cemetry at 100 East 400 South State Street at 1:00 p.m.
