Colette Skinner

March 30, 1944 — June 27, 2020

Colette Moulton Skinner born March 30th, 1944 to her parents Glen and Fae Moulton slipped away June 27th, 2020, four years to the day after the passing of her mother.  A daughter of Provo, Colette graduated Provo High School before being married to Nolan Wendell Skinner on May 25th, 1963.  25 years later they were sealed in the Provo Temple.  They began their family with their first daughter Kathy (Mark Robbins), followed by Wendy (Richard Fullmer), son Michael (Courtney Skinner), and completed their family with their daughter Michele (Brad Nelson).  An exceptionally devoted mother, Colette used her immaculate embroidery to create gifts for her loved ones to use and cherish.  She also instilled a love of reading in her home; some of her favorite authors included Gerald Lund, Stephen King, and J. R. R. Tolkien.  A lover of sports, Colette was an avid bowler and enjoyed watching golf tournaments, the Kansas City Chiefs, BYU football and the Utah Jazz.  More than anything, she was a master of balancing honesty and compassion.  Her gift for making people around her feel valued and loved was equally matched with her ability to tell people just what they needed to hear.  Happily reunited with so many of her loved ones, Colette was preceded in death by her father Glen, mother Fae, and her son Michael.  Colette’s courageous faith and strength of character live on in her sisters Margie Moulton, Evelyn Mitchell (Clark), Valerie Olds (Bill), brothers Ronald Moulton, Robert Moulton (Shirleen), and her daughters Kathy, Wendy, and Michele.  However, her kindness and compassion live on in everyone whose lives she touched through her service and care for others.
