Clinton Grant Gibson

1933-2021

Clinton Grant “Hoppis” Gibson, 88, of Nephi Utah, died peacefully surrounded by family on September 6, 2021. He was born March 31, 1933, in the mining camp of Sweets, Carbon County, Utah.

He served in the Army during the Korean War and later married his sweetheart, Donna on December 30, 1955, in Orem.

He is survived by wife Donna Rae (Gines) and 3 children: Val Gibson (Sandra), Diann Bowen (Brendan), Shuryne Finley (Dan), and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His death is preceded by 3 boys: Paul, Duane, and Tad.

A public viewing will be held Thursday, September 9 between 6-8 p.m. with a family viewing at 5 p.m. in the Nephi 5th Ward located at 345 E. 500 N. Nephi.

A graveside funeral service will be held Friday, September 10 at 11:00 a.m. in the Orem City Cemetery at 1520 N 800 E, Orem.
