Clifford Ray Stubbs of Orem Utah passed away on February 18, 2025, 4 days after his 87th birthday. Cliff was born in Provo Utah on February 14, 1938. He graduated from Lincoln High School in Orem Utah in 1956. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University in 1968, majoring in recreation with physical education as his minor. He completed six years in the Air National Guard attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant. He taught recreation for two years at Snow College in Ephriam Utah. He then returned to Orem to be in the water softener business, working at Intermountain Soft Water for the remainder of his career.
Cliff was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served an LDS mission in the Gulf States. He was sealed to Sheila Rose Williamson on August 1st, 1963, in the Salt Lake City temple. Cliff served in many callings including the Young Men’s, Bishopric, and High Council.
Cliff is survived by his loving wife Sheila, of 61 years, his sister Londa Nanette Cook, and his three children, Alisa Terry (Curt), Raelyn Coles (Michael), and Michael Stubbs (Lisa Marie). He is preceded in death by his daughter Rashelle.
He has 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Cliff was a member of the Utah County Jeep Patrol and the Good Sam Club.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and RVing. He loved boating and built his own boat when he was 16 years old. He was an amazing water skier and owned boats most of his life.
Cliff had a reputation for his organization and cleaning skills. He was known as “Spiffy Cliffy”.
Viewing services will be held Monday, February 24th from 12:00 pm-2:00 pm at Sundberg/Olpin mortuary, 495 S. State Street Orem, Utah 84058. The Graveside service will be held at 2:30 pm at the Provo City Cemetery.
