Cleo Ilene Baum Mason was born January 20, 1937 to Homer and Illa Baum in Provo. She passed away July 13, 2015 at her home surrounded by loving children after a courageous battle with cancer. She married Dean Newell Mason in 1954 in the Salt Lake Temple and followed him to his Army service in Germany. Cleo is survived by her six children; Scot (Terry), Julane (John), Sheri (Brian), Ryan (Bonnie), Karen (Eric), and David (Cindy); 21 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and two brothers; Lowell and Ladell Baum. Her greatest devotion was to her family. Cleo regularly arranged for family vacations and parties that brought her family together in play and new experiences to create happy and loving memories. Next to her family, the LDS Church was her greatest devotion and she filled countless callings within the church. Cleo will be remembered for her compassion and unselfishness for others. She was always supportive of others and helped them pursue passions and dreams. Her determination and work ethic was an inspiration to her children and everyone who knew her. Cleo's beauty and grace was timeless. She will be missed and loved by all. Friends and family may call Friday 6:00-8:00 pm at the Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary, 495 South State Street in Orem.
