Clark Paul Cordner, age 79 of Fruitland, UT passed away Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at home surrounded by family. He was born December 2, 1943, in Provo, UT to Floyd Alexander Cordner and Elva Aston Cordner. He married Wanda Ann Christensen on September 25, 1964, in Manasa, CO. They were later sealed in the Vernal, UT Temple. Together they had 3 children, Kellie (Vince) LaCario of Childress, TX; Tammy Cordner (Fruitland, UT); Paul (La Dawn) Cordner of Nephi, UT; 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, and 2 sisters.
Clark was such a hard worker. Their family-owned an orchard in Orem, UT and he started working on the farm at age 4. After he was married, he also worked at Geneva Steel as an overhead crane operator for 35 years. He loved hunting, fishing, camping, prospecting, and a good joke or prank but most of all he loved spending time with his family.
He graduated from Orem High School. In 1964, he joined the National Guard and served for 6 years. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in many callings, including the Branch Presidency throughout the last 20 years all of which he greatly enjoyed.
Funeral services will be held Monday, April 24, 2023. The viewing will be from 9:30 to 10:30 am with the funeral following at 11:00. The viewing and funeral will be at the Fruitland Branch church 46130 US-40 in Fruitland. Interment will at the Orem City Cemetery at 2:00 pm.
