Charles "Lee" Pitts

Charles Leland Pitts born Nov. 11, 1927 in Murray, Utah, passed away peacefully of natural causes in his Orem, Utah, residence on July 22, 2018.

During his growing up years, he lived in Orem and Park City, Utah, He served his country in the Army Air Corps from 1946-1948. He married Hazel May Brooks in 1954 and together they lived in Alaska, Colorado, and Utah. While in Alaska, Lee and May adopted and raised four children. May passed away in 2004. He then married Alice Price in 2005. Throughout their life together they lived in Orem, Duchesne, and Payson.

He was an active member of the LDS church and loved to do Family History Work.  In Alaska he served as a Branch President, and he also served as a Ward Clerk for 14 years.  He served as an Ordinance Worker in 3 LDS temples, Mount Timpanogos, Vernal, and Bountiful.

He loved building, remodeling, and fixing anything...including houses and cars.

He was preceded in death by his Mother Yorda Ostergaard Pitts, Father Charles Edward Pitts, Son Kenneth Lee Pitts, Daughter Carol Pitts Alessandro, Brother Laval Pitts, Sister in Law Joyce Pitts, Sister in Law Christina Pitts, and Sister in Law Roberta Pitts.

He is survived by his Wife Alice Pitts, Son Rodger Pitts (Shauna), Daughter Sharon Andrews, Sister Donna Bingham, Brother Ralph Pitts, Brother Glenn Pitts, Brother Ted Pitts (Sylvia) Brother Gary Pitts (Pam), and Sister in Law Joan Pitts. He also has many grand and great-grand children and step grand and great grand children. He is preceded in death by  Marilyn Cardall (stepdaughter) and Shannon Pitts Madruga (granddaughter).

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday July 28,2018 at the Payson LDS Stake Center 650 W. 800 S. Payson, Utah. A viewing will be from 10:00 to 10:45 am and funeral service will begin at 11:00 am.

Interment will be in the Evergreen cemetery with military honors.
