Charity Lynn Hardman
1974–2016
Charity Lynn Hardman passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2016. She lived deeply and richly and died doing one of the things she loved the most: riding her motorcycle.
Born in Provo, Utah April 28, 1974. Raised in Orem, Charity grew up surrounded by many neighborhood friends and a gaggle of siblings and cousins. From an early age, Charity was a self-taught achiever. Nothing characterized this more than teaching herself to drive at 14 years old by sneaking away with her grandpa’s truck and terrorizing the neighborhood.
Charity graduated from Mountain View High school and was one class shy of graduating from the University of Phoenix. She was married to Brett Hardman for 10 years.
For her entire life, Charity knew what she wanted and was determined to get it. Still, her fierce determination, unparalleled work ethic, and mental quickness never detoured her natural and abundant propensity toward kindness, generosity, and fun. As an adult, Charity used her determination and ability climb the corporate ladder and quickly became a successful sales rep for Dell Computers as well as other companies, earning several awards and citations. Both her co-workers and clients held her in great esteem and she always said that her clients were, “the best people.”
As the self-proclaimed, “President and CEO of the Hardman House of Awesomeness,” Charity’s fun spirit and constant generosity provided that her doors were always open to family and friends.
Truly, Charity’s enduring legacy will be her love for others. Charity loved her two “fur babies,” (dogs) Suri and Chase. She deeply loved family and friends, insisted on including everybody, and was always ready to help out. Charity was an aunt figure to the many children in her neighborhood and loved them as her own. She loved motorcycles, fly fishing, and sexy cowboys. Charity loved rock and roll, Nashville country music, and Harley Davidsons. She loved chick flicks, beautifying her home, and skiing.
She is survived by her mother, Carol Winters, (Jim), father, Steven Moore, (Ranae), and siblings, Scott (Seneca), Chris (Morgan) and Lucy. Other family include her Grandmother, Jacqueline Johnson, uncles, aunts, and cousins as well as nephews and nieces, Henry, Kate, Charlie, Tess, and Elio, and of course, her dogs, Suri and Chase.
Funeral will be Friday, August 19, 2016 at the Olpin-Sundberg Morturary, 495 S. State Street, Orem, UT. At 11:00 a.m. with a visitation prior to the service from 10:00- 10:45 a.m. A visitation on Thursday night at the mortuary from 6:00-8:00 pm. Burial will be in the Orem City Cemetery.
