Carolyn Beutler

Carolyn Kay Powell Beutler, 87, of Orem, Utah, passed away at her home with family members by her side, Sunday, June 19, 2022, of Kidney Failure.

She was born December 13, 1935, to Hayes Owen Powel and Vivan Marie Sylvester Mecham. She married Gerold David Beutler on April 12, 1954, in Las Vegas and were later sealed in the Mount Timpanogos Utah Temple on March 3, 2016.

She worked at Albertsons for about 16 years and Contract Carpets over in the credit department. She was active in the Orem JC’s with her husband Gary.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in different callings early on in her life. She loved family trips to Bear Lake and also Fish Lake and later in life she & Gary became snowbirds for about 20 years before health issues slowed them down.

Carolyn is survived by her Sister Claudia Mecham Brindley her 2 Sons, David Kay Beutler & Greg Beutler (Shelly), and Daughter Shellie Beutler Bell (Loren). She has 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren which brought her so much joy and happiness to her life.

She was proceeded in death by her husband Gerold David Beutler, her Father Hayes Owen Powell, Mother Vivian Sylvester Mecham, Brother Clark Samuel Mecham & Brother Kenneth Hayes Powell.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 24, 2022, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Chapel, 50 South 800 East, Orem, Utah. A viewing for family and friends will be held from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the services at the church. Burial will be in the Orem City Cemetery.
