Carol Hogan Griffiths

Carol Hogan Griffiths passed away peacefully September 17, 2023, at her home in Vineyard, Utah from the affects of Alzheimer’s Disease.  She was born June 1, 1943, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Robert F. and Georgiana Rands Hogan. 

Carol grew up and attended schools in Salt Lake City, including the University of Utah where she met her husband, Brent F. Griffiths.  They were married March 13, 1964, in the Salt Lake Temple.  She was an avid roller skater, lover of nature, and adored her dogs and all animal life.  She sought to encourage her family and everyone she met.  She was a devoted disciple of Jesus Christ. 

She is the mother of four children, a grandmother of 16 and great grandmother of 9.  Carol and Brent lived in Salt Lake City; Provo, Utah; Orland, California; Beaver, Utah; Bountiful, Utah; Bad Vibel, Germany; Maconnex, France; New Albany, Ohio and for the past four years in Vineyard, Utah. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, a sister Patricia Foster, a brother Jerry Hogan, and a granddaughter, Savannah Griffiths.  Carol is survived by her husband, a sister Susan (John) Stone of Glendora, California; a son Robert Griffiths of Vineyard, Utah; a daughter Anna (Michael) Christoff of Orem, Utah; a son Matthew (Jeneanne) Griffiths of Austin, Texas; a son Joseph (Tracie) Griffiths of Glen Rose, Texas as well as her grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

Memorial services will be held Friday, Sept. 22^nd at 11:00 a.m. in the LDS chapel at 1075 West 1100 North, Orem, Utah.  There will be visitation at the church from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. prior to the services.  Interment will be in the Salt Lake City Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to the Humane Society – no kill shelters.
