Carma Harris
June 11, 1928 — March 18, 2017
Carma Hopla Harris died of natural causes March 18, 2017, on a sunny Saturday afternoon she would have found perfect for gardening. Born June 11, 1928, in Mapleton, Utah, a daughter of David and Lillie Hopla.
She worked as secretary to four principals at Dixon Jr. High School, retiring when she was 75. She was my mother, my best friend and my mentor till the end—one of the strongest, most independent women I have ever met. So proud to get you as my mother. I hope you have fun up there because it’s hard here without you.
Survivors include son Kyle M. Harris, sister RaNae Dove, daughter-in-law Katie Frandsen, and grandchildren David and Liz. Preceded in death by son Robert Don Frandsen and most family members.
Graveside service will be Wednesday, March 22 at 11 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery, 1997 S. 400 East, Springville.
