Candace Castagna

Candace Lea Castagna, 57, of Cedaredge, Colorado, passed away unexpectedly after a courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, September 12, 2017.  She was born April 21, 1960, on a U.S. Air Force base in Japan to Charles and Gwynneth Castagna.

Candace married Randy Nyberg and they worked together for years and will always remain friends 'til the end and thereafter.

She loved to work various jobs from construction, housekeeping, and driving trucks.  She didn't like down time.  She preferred to keep busy.

Candace enjoyed coloring, painting, camping, playing frisbee golf, and just loved the simple things in life.  She loved spending time with her family and loving companion Paul Miller, whom she loved dearly.

Candace is survived by her only daughter Nathina (Chris) Wagner, five grandchildren- Danyelle (Julio) Mendoza, BreAnna Carmickle (Carlos), Alazayea Castagna, Canyon Castagna, and Kristofer Wagner- three great grandchildren- Julio Mendoza Jr., Lillian Mendoza, Carlos Reyes Jr. Her daughter, grandkids, and great grandkids were her life.  She was preceded in death by both her parents and her brother Michael Castagna.

Due to Candy's wishes, we will be having a celebration of life within the week.  Details to be announced later.

Nathina wants to thank you all for being there for her momma, as she was there from the time Candy was diagnosed 'til the angels took her home. God bless!  I love you Momma!
