Brooks Michael Anderson, age 23, of Highland, Utah passed away July 25, 2018. Brooks was born October 1, 1994 to Michael Glen Anderson and Geneal (Hadlock) Majors in Provo, Utah.
From an early age, Brooks was passionate about his various interests, and while many of them changed over the years, he always loved sports. He enjoyed watching and talking about them. Basketball was a particular favorite, and he would memorize every stat he could. Brooks had many collections over the years, but his most prized collection was his basketball cards, which was a passion he shared with his father. Brooks was an avid entertainer and was always quick to make people laugh. He could memorize movie lines with ease and would relish in using them in his quick-witted comedic bits. Brooks had an incredible ability to connect with people. He always knew how to start a conversation, and with his communication skills, excelled as salesperson. He was able to use his salesmanship at his various jobs to deliver great results. Brooks loved his work, especially his last job at Jiffy Lube, and always wanted to be the best in every way, whether on the sales floor or in the auto shop.
Brooksy, as he was known to his family, was a great blessing to them, and was cherished by his mother, siblings, nieces, and nephews. Brooks was very caring and loving to his nieces and nephews and loved to play with them, and in turn, they adored and idolized him.
Although Brooks ultimately lost his battle with addiction, he did not want his personal struggles to define him, but rather his love for his family, his hard work, and his cherished friendships.
Brooks is survived by his mother, Geneal (Hadlock) Majors; his siblings, Ryan (Emily) Cloward, Jennifer (Blake) Yakiwchuk, Nicole (Seth) Engman, Marshelle (Robert) Seegmiller, Myken (Matthew) Briem, Harley Anderson, and Kelsey (Greg) Shuey; his grandparents, Rhea Hadlock and Shirley Russon; his nieces and nephews, Jayce, Claire, William, Doran, Brock, Cassie, Clark, Brent, Daniel, Maddie, Carson, Peyton, Easton, Ellie, Zoe, Zeke, Olivia, Kade, and Gwen. He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Glen Anderson, his grandfather, Lonnie Hadlock and his niece, Harper Shuey.
