Brenda Simons

Brenda Lee Simons passed away peacefully surrounded by family on October 8, 2015. Brenda was born January 23, 1948 at home in Mt Pleasant Utah to Levi Alden and Fontella Simons. She was born into a big loving family and was the 11th of 12 children. In her early years she enjoyed reading and learning. She served an LDS mission in 1971 in Guatemala. She had a love of the Spanish people and spoke the language fluently. She was a diehard Cougar fan and very proud of the degree she earned from BYU. Brenda loved animals and had several cats and dogs throughout her lifetime. She also loved her many nieces and nephews who enjoyed her witty and sarcastic sense of humor. She is survived by her siblings Jay, Que (Pauline), Ada (Neil) Lake, Boyce (Deann), Gayle Strong, Shanna Wakefield and her faithful companion Duchess. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Betty, Debbie, LaRue and Myrna and her brothers Devere and Don. Friends and family are welcome to attend a viewing at the Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary in Orem (495 South State) on Tuesday, October 13th from 6-8 pm. A graveside service will be held the following day at the Mt Pleasant city cemetery at 12 noon.
