Betty Walker Frisby passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at the age of 89.
Betty was born December 17, 1934, in Provo, Utah to Oran and Viola Walker. She was the 3rd child along with her twin sister Beverly. She had an older brother who passed away when he was a baby and 2 other sisters Lawanna and Doradean.
On June 8, 1951, Betty married Don Fausett and went on to have 4 children. He preceded her in death on January 29, 1980. On February 23, 1984, Betty married Bob Petroff. He later preceded her in death on August 25, 1989. On November 21, 1991, Betty married Arnold Frisby. She spent 21 years with him, and he preceded her in death on June 13, 2012. Her family often joked with her that she was their little black widow.
Betty enjoyed ceramics, crocheting, sewing, scrapbooking, and making all kinds of crafts for her family and friends. When she was younger, she had a love for square dancing, being a scout leader, and camping and fishing. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the Primary Presidency. She was well known for her generosity and was always giving family and friends gifts or crafts she had made. During her time at the Beehive retirement home, she insisted that anyone who came in her room leave with a pop and treat, she gave out goody bags for every holiday and made sure she had extra for anyone who came in the building. She always made everyone around her feel special and loved. She was an excellent mother and grandmother, and she loved her children and grandchildren dearly.
Betty is survived by her three daughters: Judy (Tom) Mackey, Sandy Fackrell, and Barbara (Marc) Arcolio, her 11 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren and her twin sister Beverly Burgi.
She is preceded in death by her 3 husbands: Don Fausett, Bob Petroff, and Arnold Frisby, her son Corry Fausett, her parents Oran and Viola Walker, her two sisters Lawanna Taufer and Doradean Hawkins. and her son-in-law Raymond Fackrell.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 28, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Wheeler-Sundberg Funeral Home located at 495 South State Street in Orem, Utah. A viewing for friends and family will be held Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Thursday just before the service from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. The burial will be in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
A special thanks to Betty’s caregivers and staff at Beehive Homes Retirement Center. While in their care, she was treated with kindness, dignity, and respect.
