Bert F Hall, 87, of Orem passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2018. He was born May 26, 1931 in Provo to Jasper Lanning Hall and Caroline Ferguson Hall. He and Ann Siggard were married on June 22, 1990 in American Fork and sealed in the Provo LDS temple on November 13, 2010. He is survived by his wife, Ann and by the mother of his children, Arline Berry Hall.
Bert was an Eagle Scout and a proud member of the Order of the Arrow. He was very supportive of his Boy Scout grandchildren and rewarded their advancements with hand-made mementos. He served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Eastern States Mission and participated in the Hill Cumorah pageant
He loved hunting just about anything whenever he could and he created fun times for his family playing table games from his childhood. His father, Jasper was a great tease, a trait Bert and his siblings absorbed early and which Bert excelled at, passing it on to his children and step children.
He played the drums in high school in Las Vegas and continued playing in dance bands after his first marriage and as his family grew, including playing at two of his sons’ graduations.
Bert was an artist who painted with oils, leaving many beautiful works of art to his family. When his eyes began to fail, he experimented with various different tactile mediums, always creating something beautiful with great attention to detail
He and Ann served in the Provo temple and after their release, Bert returned faithfully to the temple nearly every day up until his health no longer permitted. He earned the nickname ‘The Man with the Iron Knees’ because of the 52,000 sealings he served as proxy for over the years.
Bert is survived by his nine children, Russell, Lynn, Bruce, Wayne, Marvin, Shirlene, Ann Marie, Larry, Laura and step-children Pete, Sandy, Rusty, Denise, Ben, James and Mike, as well as 54 grandchildren and 52 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings and step-son, Kenneth
