Barbara Millett

December 23, 1941 — April 22, 2020

Barbara Geane Millett, of Orem, was born December 23, 1941 to Lela Mason and Louis Paul Beffort. She was later adopted by Oliver Davis. She married LeGrande Millett and had three children: Dawn, Shane, and Chris. She also became a stepmom to Randy, Debbie, and Stacy. Barbara passed away April 22, 2020 from the effects of dementia.

At a young age, Barbara was a part of 4H where she won several awards for sewing, both at a local and state level. She enjoyed baking and was famous for her giant cinnamon rolls.  On Friday and Saturday nights she could be found out on the dance floor. Her favorite was country dancing. The only time she would miss these events would be if her granddaughter Chelsie wanted to spend the night. Grannie loved to spoil the grandkids with sleepovers, little presents, and fun outings. You never left her house hungry or without a bag of goodies.

Barbara was a social butterfly. She was kind-hearted to everyone she met but she wasn’t afraid to make jokes with them. Everyone that met her loved her. It seemed like one of her favorite things to do was to cause trouble with her friends and giggle about it afterwards.

Barbara was greeted in heaven by her parents; her brother Paul and sister Betty; LeGrande; and son Shane. She is survived by her siblings Bethann and Phil; her children: Dawn and Chris; step-children: Randy, Debbie, and Stacy; four grandchildren: Chelsie, Brickey, Jesse, and Colby; several step-grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

Due to social distancing, no traditional services will be held. Graveside services will be held Monday, April 27, 2020 at 12:30pm in the Orem City Cemetery located at 1520 North 800 East. All are welcome; please be mindful of social distancing guidelines. A memorial celebration will be held at a later date.
