At the age of 18 she met the love of her life, Bill Gordon at a dance hall that she frequented with her sister, and the rest is history. Barbara and Bill married 18 months later on July 19th 1958.

She always had a homemade warm meal for dad and the family and a tidy home. She loved books and loved to read mystery novels. She was an amazing Knitter and made many items including baby clothes for her grandchildren. She was full of joy and big smiles and always up for a chat with anyone including workers at the bank and grocery stores. She was very engaging with her British accent and warm smile.
