Artha Gene Curtis Robinson, 91, died March 7, 2015. She was born in Oakley, Idaho on Nov. 18, 1923, the youngest of the five children of Viola Mary Hale and Albert William Curtis. She was educated in Salt Lake City and Provo, graduated from South High, after which she took a summer business course, attended two years at BYU, and was employed as a stenographer in Seattle, WA and in SLC. She and the late Jesse S. Robinson were married in the Salt Lake Temple Jan. 25, 1946 and are parents of Lynn, Dean, Janet (deceased), Julia, Cheryl, Dale, Mark, and Brenda. Their posterity also includes 40 grandchildren and 64 great-grandchildren. Artha was an artist who enjoyed design and dressmaking from her teenage years, as well as drawing and painting. She returned to BYU after her children were grown and took additional art classes. She was a devotee of reading the scriptures and good books. She joined DUP and was appreciative of her heritage of faithful ancestors. Artha enjoyed serving in many auxiliaries of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, particularly teaching the youth. Her family and her faith in Jesus Christ and God's "great plan of happiness" were most precious to her and brought her the greatest joys. Friends and family may meet at the Sundberg-Olpin Mortuary 495 S. State St. in Orem Friday from 6-8PM. Funeral services are at 10:00 AM March 14th at Cedar Hills West Stake Center, 4580 W. Cedar Hills Dr. preceded by a viewing from 9-9:45. Following the funeral, interment will be in the Orem Cemetery.
