Ardath K. (Buzz) Chipman 72, of Springville, left this world for a better place on August 11, 2015. Buzz was born June 26, 1943 in Provo Utah to Wendell B. and Afton Bliss Van Wagenen Chipman. After graduating from Provo High School, he served in the U.S. Air force until 1965. He married Diane Wilson February 14, 1966. Their joke was that with that date he would always remember their anniversary. Together they had two beautiful daughters, Christine Diane Hillock and Charlene Chipman. His daughters were his ultimate pride and joy. Buzz worked as a mechanic, specializing in Front End Alignment. He had many hobbies and poured his endless energy into each one. He restored many antique cars, his favorite being 27 Fords. In midlife he obtained his pilot's license and began flying and eventually building his own planes. A Harley was the only motorcycle he would ride and he had many of them during his lifetime. Later in life he applied for his Firearms and Relics license and stared collecting and restoring guns. Buzz was a kind, generous man who was always willing to lend a helping hand, especially those who were down on their luck. He will be missed by all, including his little dog Chuckie, who was his constant companion. He is survived by his wife Diane, daughter Charlene, grandson Michael Hillock (Emily), great grandchild Brooklyn Rose Hillock, brother Ralph Thompson (Carol), brother-in-law David Wilson (Glenna), sister-in-law Vicky Hohrein, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his oldest daughter Christine, and his sister Hazel Garn (Jake). Following his wishes, private graveside services were held August 18, at Orem City Cemetery.
