Anna Murl Pinegar Christianson, 93, passed away April 25, 2015 of natural causes incident to age at the Charleston Senior Living Center in Cedar Hills, Utah. Murl was born October 24, 1921 in Wellington, Utah to John F. and Grace Ellis Pinegar. She was raised in Spanish Fork, Utah and graduated from Spanish Fork High School in 1939. She married Jack Christianson of Spanish Fork on April 30, 1949. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Provo, Utah LDS Temple, February 27, 1973. Murl and her husband Jack raised their family in Orem, Utah. She was fiercely loyal to her parents, siblings, children and friends. She was a unique personality who tried to build and lift people and tell them what to do, if necessary. She loved camping in the family trailer with her husband and grandchildren. She attended numerous plays, swimming meets, and ball games to show her support for those she loved. She enjoyed going on vacation to Southern California, stopping in Las Vegas along the way, Hawaii, and LDS Church Historical Sites. She was a tremendous cook and everyone loved to gather at "Grandma's House" to eat, laugh, play games, especially UNO, and to feel her love and, at times, her wrath! She made sure that all of her children, grandchildren, neighbors, and friends knew that they were loved and important in their lives. She has left an incredible legacy for her loved ones to care for people, stand up for the underdog, fight for freedom and to remain loyal and faithful to the God who gave us life. She served an LDS mission with her husband to the West Indies in 1987-1989 where she and Jack loved the people and the many missionaries with whom they served. Upon their return, they moved to St. George, Utah where they spent many happy years serving in the St. George Temple and hosting their friends, children and grandchildren. As Murl and Jack aged they left St. George and lived with their son and then moved to Cedar City, Utah to live with their daughter, Becky. Jack passed away in 2011. Murl continued to live with Becky until entering the Charleston Senior living Center in January of 2015. Murl is survived by two brothers - W. Lynn Pinegar (Mary) of Salt Lake City, and Rex D. Pinegar (Bonnie) also of Salt Lake City. Five Children - Bonnie (John) Leydsman of Salem, UT; Tom (Brigitte) Christianson of Lakewood, CO; Diann (Michael) Redzich of Payson, Utah; Jack R. (Melanie) of Orem, Utah; and Becky (Howard) Jones of Cedar City, UT, 19 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren. We will all love you forever, Murl! The family wishes to express humble gratitude to the terrific staff of the Charleston. She loved every one who attended to her. Also, thank you to the wonderful staff of First Choice Hospice.
